Research Project

My current research focuses on rhenium-based olefin metathesis catalysts, with possible applications in feed stock conversion and chemical synthesis under ambient conditions.  We explore the catalyst structure and reaction mechanisms using various spectroscopy, including vibrational, magnetic resonance, and x-ray scattering and absorption, kinetic studies and theoretical modeling.
