The faculty and students of the Department of Chemical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara started the new year by continuing to make great strides.

Recognizing faculty members, Professor Phillip Christopher, Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (ECASE-Army), Professor Songi Han, named Fellow of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance, and Professor Michelle O'Malley, Young Investigator Award from ACS BIOT. Also, featuring a new staff profile, Jose Navarrete, Undergrad Lab Manager, and an Alumni Profile on Tawni Koutchesfahani, BS 2004. Plus, student features on Nicholas Sherck, Dow Discovery Fellowship for 2018-21, and a spotlight on the Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association (ChE GSA).
