Research Project

I am investigating the activity and structure of supported metal catalysts for use in alkane metathesis, which is achieved by performing alkane dehydrogenation/hydrogenation and olefin metathesis in tandem. I am focused mainly on rhenium-based olefin metathesis catalysts to be used with an iridium-based dehydrogenation catalyst developed by collaboratorts at UNC Chapel Hill and Rutgers University.
